Small Antique Oak Writing Box

A lovely small antique oak writing box with velvet lining. The box has a front metal hook and eye clasp and dovetail corners. Inside is lined in purple velvet and there are two sections, one is a small square section for a rubber or ink well. It has a rustic charm. This would have been used to store pens and pen nibs.

It is in fairly good condition for its age. Some wear to the wood with age and use. all adds to its charm. Please see image.
