This is a lovely decorative antique address embossing press. Made from cast iron the press is painted black with gold flowers and leaves down each side and the back. There is an address embossing plate in the press, this can be replaced by unscrewing the plate screws.
In fair vintage condition for its age. It has knocks, marks and some loss of paint. All this adds to its charm. Please see images.
